“Who's Hungry?” provides food to anyone in need of a hot meal through a soup kitchen in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Who's Hungry? is open to everybody. We are located at the restaurant MAZU at 209 Xenia Rd in Yellow Springs, behind the Emporium Cafe. Come on in and check in via the tablet at the bar, and then we'll get your meal ready. The menu is posted on our Facebook page every Mon and Wed (facebook.com/whos.hungry.ys).
There is a glass donation jar in the front if you would like to or are able to support our work. We are aspiring to become a non-profit and currently have sponsorship by the Yellow Springs Community Foundation.
As co-founder Jim Zehner says, “The more different people we get, the better it is for the community. Ya know, and people need to know each other a little bit better. They need to be aware that their neighbors have a need, and this is a way of doing that.”
Founder
“I grew up in Cincinnati and when I graduated, I moved to Atlanta, and I was homeless there for a little while. It made me stand up on my feet and appreciate working in a restaurant. That's how I figured out I wanted to be a chef — if I work in a restaurant, I can always have something to eat.”

“Pope Francis said, ‘It is good to pray for the hungry, then you feed them. That's how prayer works.’ So, I think that's kind of a hallmark of what we're trying to do.”
